Even though this bed is intended for a dog I bought it for my two cats.I was hoping this would be big enough for the both of them to use at the same time (16lbs & 18lbs...they're big).However, once it arrived the bed seemed pretty small, so I measured it.It is advertised as 31 x 24, but the actual measurements are closer to 30 x 23, that's from outside wall to outside wall.The actual sleeping area is only 26 x 20, because the outer walls are so thick.As far as the "All Season" claim...I suppose this would be better for a dog.The winter cushion is as expected, thick and heated (the cats love that).However, the summer cushion is a fabric-covered plastic bladder that has to be filled with water.This would be fine for a dog, but my cat's needle-like claws would pop this thing in a second.The documentation for the bed even warns about keeping your dog's nails trimmed.
Overall, it looks nice and doesn't seem cheap (probably because it wasn't).If I could do it over again, I probably would get two "K&H Thermo Oval Snuggly Sleepers" in medium (26 x 20).I wouldn't have to worry about it being big enough (each cat would have their own) and it's cheaper.Also, it doesn't have the summer cushion, which my cats can't use anyway.
